definition 1:  a specific state of being of something or someone.
example:  Being without pain is a condition that some of these patients can only dream of.
example:  The condition of absolute silence rarely prevails in a house with young children.
example:  I can’t imagine what condition I would be in if such a tragic thing happened to me.

definition 2:  a circumstance or provision upon which something else depends; prior restriction.
example:  A quiet environment is one condition necessary for me to concentrate on my studying.
example:  She lent him the money only on the condition that he pay her back in one week.
example:  He agreed to give information to the police only on condition of anonymity.
