definition:  the act or an instance of discussing, or, collectively, the various things that are said while discussing  [to discuss:  1.  to talk together about;  2.  to consider in writing or speech].
example:  The discussion at the meeting focused on problems with the new software.
example:  The instructor led the class in a discussion of the social issues raised in their reading.
example:  Most of the discussion concerned whether the book should be considered literature or trash.
example:  The professor’s discussion of the artist’s troubled life was interesting to the students.
