example:  She was indeed the best swimmer on the team.
example:  He had indeed stolen the jewels, but no one was ever able to prove it.
example:  You’re right.  These are delicious pastries indeed!

interjection
definition:  used to express a strong reaction of agreement, doubt, surprise or the like to what someone has just said.
example:  Indeed!  Well, if he seriously thinks he’s qualified to do my job, he’s very much mistaken!
