definition
:  to not include (something) through neglect or by decision; leave out.
example:  On the invitations, I unfortunately omitted the time that the party will begin.
example:  The paper was getting too long, so she omitted a few paragraphs.
example:  Why was his name omitted from the list?
example:  We omitted going to the museum because there was not enough time.
